Softball

Blacktown International Sportspark was the venue for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Softball and remains the finest Softball facility in Australia.

Regarded as one of the world's premier softball venues, the facility includes four full size playing fields, associated building and training infrastructure, and extensive training equipment.

The Centre's playing surfaces are professionally maintained to national standards by a dedicated team of grounds staff. Blacktown International Sportspark is the training venue for the Australian Institute of Sport Softball Program and hosts state, national and international championships annually.

The Western Sydney Academy of Sport Softball Program and Softball NSW Rising Stars development program are also based at the Blacktown International Sportspark Softball Centre.

  • All diamonds are fully fenced with 8ft home run fence
  • The main and two secondary diamonds are floodlit to Australian standards for international competition and/or training (2560.2.6-1994)
  • The main and two secondary diamonds are sand profile and are playable in most weather conditions due to an international standard sporting field sub surface drainage system
  • Main and secondary diamonds are fully irrigated and include sheltered scorers facilities on all fields
  • All fields have grassed outfields and skinned infields

Main Diamond (Diamond 1)

  • Fully covered stadium with spectator seating capacity for 1100
  • Electronic scoreboard, and separate commentators & media box
  • Home & visitor dugouts and double home and visitor bullpens

Stadium Infrastructure- Main Diamond

  • Four change rooms that can be configured into two larger rooms. All change rooms have toilets, showers and wash facilities
