Heath Taylor is the Grounds Supervisor at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney.
Heath has been a part of the BISP team for the past 18.5 years, initially starting his apprenticeship with Blacktown City Council in January 2003. In the past 18 years Heath has developed experience in the year-round maintenance and preparation of all sports turf surfaces at the Sportspark.
In his apprentice role he prepared cricket pitches at Joe McAleer Reserve in the warmer months and maintained the Olympic venues at BISP in the cooler seasons. From this experience he moved into a groundsman role and then was promoted to Team Leader Cricket/AFL where he managed the maintenance and preparation of all the Sportspark’s first class pitches and outfields, as well as Joe McAleer Oval. This included being part of Cricket Australia’s curating team.
In the final years of being Team Leader, Heath also looked after the Western Sydney Wanderers FC Centre of Football.
Heath was appointed Key Venues Grounds Supervisor in July 2020. His current role of Grounds Supervisor requires him to manage all aspects of maintenance, preparation and renovation of BISP 60 hectares worth of sports fields and surrounding landscape areas.
