Darryl Clout has been a Director on the Blacktown Venue Management Ltd Board since 2016.

Darryl brings a wealth of experience across the sport and recreation industry to the Blacktown Venue Management Ltd Board.

Darryl has had experience at all levels of sport including coaching, managing state and national teams, officiating, administration and as a member of various technical committees.

Former General Manager of NSW Sport and Recreation, Darryl oversaw management of 10 Sport and Recreation Centres, including 3 former Olympic venues, and liaised with 90 state sporting organisations and peak bodies.  

Darryl has previously served on the board of NSW Institute of Sport, Johnny Warren Football Foundation, NSW Sporting Injuries Committee, State Sports Centre Trust, Softball NSW, and Softball Australia, serving as President from 2000 until 2004. Darryl was the Oceania Vice President from 2009 to 2013 and Federation Vice President from 2013 until 2017.

Darryl has previously chaired Sports House Management Committee, Standing Committee on Recreation and Sport (SCORS – joint Commonwealth/State Committee) and the Project Control Group for the redevelopment of Energy Australia Stadium, Newcastle. He is currently a Board Member of the Hunter Academy of Sport and the President of Bowls Australia. Darryl has been on the Board of Commonwealth Games Australia since 2018 and is Chair of the Heritage and Awards Committee. In 2020 Darryl was appointed to the board of World Bowls as the Oceania Regional Director.
